Determined and passionate about coffee, Nadja Sofian continues her family's work

Produced in the Sidama region, this coffee is representative of Ethiopia's terroir and is graded Q2, the second best quality of Ethiopian coffee.

Sourced by our agency

It is exported by the family business ASK, run by Nadja Sofian. Determined and passionate about coffee, Nadja Sofian continues her family's work.

The Nibret Alimu washing station, still in the Sidama region, takes the name of its current owner. Hundreds of producers come here to drop off their coffee cherries, which are then washed and dried at this facility, which has 18 washing basins and over 100 drying beds.

The station is located at an altitude of 1,850 m, in the woreda (district) of Chiré, in the village of Kuburta.

Zone Sidama

The area covered by the Sidama appellation is very large, stretching over 500 km: the coffees have very different profiles! Sidama is the name of the appellation, but above all it is the name of the people of southern Ethiopia. Sidamo is a negative term used by people from the north to refer to the Sidama people of the south.
