Blend special espresso

This blend of Red Bourbon and Pacas, 75% washed and 25% natural, is the fruit of the work of Emlio Lopez, and Odyssey Coffee, in the Ilamatepec region.

Sourced by our agency in El Salvador

Emilio Lopez is a producer with whom we have worked for a long time, and whose work we continue to appreciate.
Odyssey produces, processes and exports its own coffees, as well as coffees from neighboring farms. Emilio is the sixth generation of coffee growers in the family. In taking over the management of the family farms, Emilio's main aim was to create a new and unique business in El Salvador.

In 2005, Emilio and his team set up the processing plant (the bénéficio) on the El Manzano farm. Today, with one of the finest production facilities in Central America, Emilio is able to transform his coffees using a variety of treatment methods and processes, with great precision and always with the same objective in mind: perfection!

His watchwords are quality, consistency and innovation, and we assure you that you are never deceived by the quality of Emilio's coffees.

The region Apaneca Ilamatepec

It is believed that the first coffee trees were planted here in the mid-19th century. Ilamatepec is the largest coffee-growing region in El Salvador, with altitudes approaching 2,400 metres above sea level, and is renowned for the quality of its coffee. The most common varieties are Bourbon (64%) and Pacas (26%).

This volcanic chain, known as the Apaneca mountain range, has numerous craters (Ataco, Apaneca, Juayua, etc.) and is one of the most active volcanoes in El Salvador: Ilamatepec, also known as Santa Ana.

Most of the coffee in this region is grown under shade. This practice not only preserves the natural ecosystem, but also provides optimal growing conditions for the coffee plants. Many local producers have won international competitions.
