This is the first year that we are offering you a coffee from the Halo Hartume station, owned by our new partner, RAD.
This natural coffee is the fruit of the work of almost 450 farmers
This natural coffee is the fruit of the work of almost 450 farmers spread around the station.
After harvesting, they bring their cherries to the station, which then sorts them meticulously before putting them out to dry on the station's raised beds.
During the drying process, the humidity level is monitored and the cherries are turned every two hours. During the hottest part of the day, the beds are covered to protect the cherries from the sun.
Once dry, the coffee is stored in jute sacks in a warehouse in Chelchele, 5 km away.

The station's priority? To stay close to the farmers and improve the quality of the coffees from year to year. The farmers linked to the Halo Hartume station receive training every year, and maintain close links with RAD, the exporter we work with and owner of the Halo Hartume station.

Meet RAD
A few words about RAD
RAD is a family-owned Ethiopian coffee exporter founded by Yigremachew Admasu and Yanet Yoseph.
RAD's vision was born from Yanet's passion for coffee. On his side, Yigremachew has a lot of experience in various industries, having successfully run businesses in furniture, glass, textiles, and garments since 2010.
The two started their coffee exporting journey in 2022. While they initially faced challenges due to cash flow instability, their combined experience and resources have enabled them to overcome these hurdles and establish a strong foundation for RADBEST's future. We're proud to count them as partners!
