Beans, matokke, sweet potatoes and groundnuts are grown alongside the coffee

We share their pride in being present on the ground, through our Belco agency in Ethiopia, thanks to which we can offer you the best quality of this natural coffee.

This coffee is the fruit of the labor of 1,700 farmers in Kyarumba, Uganda. There, on the slopes of Mount Rwenzori, on the border with Congo, everything comes together to produce quality coffees.

Produced between 1400 and 2000 meters above sea level, it is a blend of SL14 and SL28. These Arabica varieties are very common in Uganda, which is better known as the country of origin of Robusta.

In Kyarumba, each farmer owns ½ hectare on average, and works in mixed farming. Beans, matokke, sweet potatoes and groundnuts are grown alongside the coffee.

After the harvest, between March and June, each farmer offers his cherries to Agri Evolve at one of Kyarumba's collection points. The cherries sold are taken to the Nyabirongo station, where quality control is carried out, and the cherries separated into 2 distinct qualities by flotation, before being dried.

The cherries are dried for 3 weeks on one of the station's 140 drying beds. They are continuously mixed by hand to ensure even drying. The cherries are then pulped and exported by Agri Evolve.

A word about Agri Evolve : Agri Evolve is a family business, established on Mount Rwenzori since 2015. We share their pride in being present on the ground, through our Belco agency in Ethiopia, thanks to which we can offer you the best quality of this natural coffee.
