Seeing
The Paddle Roaster and its precision ruler allows you to create 6 coffee bean samples during the final phase of roasting.
The colorimetric ruler has 8 expertly calibrated colour levels, representing each of the 8 distinct roasting steps, from the first “crack” to the most intense roasting level, known as “dark roast”.
Smelling
The Paddle Roaster lets you easily achieve that same level of expertise by allowing you to smell the beans at the different
stages of the roasting process and to fine-tune the roasting profiles of your coffees.
Testing
When the roasting phase is complete, it’s time to test the coffees with a Cup Tasting. Each of the 6 sampling zones can hold 14 g of coffee beans, the ideal amount for organising a Brazilian cupping.
Learning
This ruler can also serve as an educational and training tool and help you explain the visual and olfactory transformation of coffee during roasting. Seeing and smelling are two key parts of the coffee roasting magic – which you can now share with your customers.
