The washing station is located in Refisa village, included in Nensebo district (woreda). Refisa coffee comes from the famous appellation of Sidama and is growing on high lands of Ethiopia, not far from Bale Mountains.
588 farmers are bringing their red cherries to the washing station, where SNAP is processing them.
These farmers are working small plots of land, not more than 2 hectares, at 2000 masl, in the villages of Refisa, Roricho, Bulga and Solina, which are also just around the washing station.
They are working, using traditional practices, by respecting their environment.
