One morning, Keith Gehrke and his friends ran out of paper filters. They set out to find a reusable filter. But they could not find a filter that would fit the Chemex perfectly. The options available were unsatisfactory and resulted in a cup that didn't taste as good as they'd hoped.
Keith and his friends set out to create a filter that would produce the best coffee possible, be made from high quality materials and be durable.
And so the Kone coffee filter was born: a reusable filter made from high quality stainless steel and specially designed to fit the Chemex coffee maker!
