The brand story

Kaffeeform

Historical

The idea behind Kaffeeform was developed in 2009, fuelled by the intention to create a sustainable material that aims to take advantage of coffee grounds, a waste material readily available, to become an alternative to plastics.

In 2015, after five years of experimentation and investigation, they finally had it – a unique formula to upcycle old coffee into new, beautifully designed products. Their iconic Kaffeeform cups were born.

And here they are now – upcycling other wasted resources, committed to local and ethical production, they unwaste and reshape with the environment in mind.

CSR practice

To collect the coffee grounds, the company works with a local social workshop in Berlin. Coffe ground is collected by bike.

The coffee collected comes from the coffeeshops of Berlin to promote local consumption of the material used and to avoid long distance shipping.

No water is used during the production. Water is only used to wash the product before selling it.
