Knock was founded in 2010 by Peter Kilpatrick, Uwe Stein and friends in Edinburgh, Scotland. A shared passion for coffee, design and engineering led them to create a small business offering a range of handcrafted precision coffee tools.
In 2013, the brand's first manual grinders saw the light of day. The Hausgrind and Feldgrind models quickly gained a reputation as some of the most innovative hand grinders on the market. The Aergrind was created in 2017 and is recognised as one of the best compact hand grinders.
Made By Knock boasts many qualities, for example they have always assembled the parts received from suppliers themselves, in their human-sized premises in Edinburgh. This unique approach, which they declare essential, ensures 100% quality control of all components.
