A few words about Gonzaga de Jesus Blandon

From a purely coffee-growing land in La Celia, Risaralda, Gonzaga de Jesús Blandon Escobar was born in 1965. After completing his military service, he decided to leave his homeforf better opportunities. Sometimes alone, other times with his siblings, he traveled through the Coffee Axis. In 1976, at 24, in Santa Ana, Guática, he met his wife, with whom he had four children: one son and three daughters. Like every muleteer, he continued traveling and working in many places. In 1992, amidst many
difficulties, his wife's aunts asked for his help to move the family farm forward. He took on this new challenge with great pridee, and they bought the farm with great effort. To this day, he remains the owner.

"Thirty years ago, I began growing coffee at La Esperanza Farm. Throughout this time, I have learned the traditional coffee process firsthand. Practical experience has been my greatest teacher, allowing me to understand and perfect every stage of cultivation, from planting to harvesting and processing. The journey has not been easy, but with dedication and passion, I have managed to develop a coffee farm that produces high-quality beans. Perseverance and commitment to coffee tradition have been essential in overcoming challenges and maintaining excellence in every harvest. Today, with the support of my wife, children, and grandchildren, we continue to cultivate coffee with the same passion and commitment as I did from the very first day I bought the farm".
